Rivers

This half term we are learning about rivers. Last week we went down to the village armed with ipads, to look at the different features of the river. We took photographs of what we saw and are now making an iMovie. We are also studying different rivers around the world.

On Tuesday we practised our weighing skills to measure out the ingredients to make biscuits. We cut them out in the shape of a heart for Valentine's day. When they we ready, we decorated them.

The Vikings

Last term our topic was The Vikings. We had a Viking visitor into school who told us all about life as a Viking.

We dressed up as Viking warriors and learned about armour.

We looked at Viking artefacts.

We made Viking weapons.

We made Viking longships to sail over the North Sea.
